Frequently Asked Questions

What is this dashboard?

A personal financial assessment tool that gives you a complete picture of your finances. It combines income analysis, asset tracking, pension projections across Swedish and foreign systems, mortgage analysis, FIRE readiness, and financial health scoring.

All data stays in your browser – nothing is sent to a server.

How are pension projections calculated?

Swedish allmän pension uses the delningstal (divisor) system for inkomstpension (lifetime annuity) and a fixed drawdown period for premiepension. Tjänstepension contributions are auto-calculated from ITP1 rates based on your salary.

Foreign pensions use your specified monthly amount (state pensions) or capital-based drawdown projections (private pensions), converted to SEK at the exchange rates you set.

What is the FIRE number?

Your FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) number is the portfolio size needed to sustain your expenses indefinitely. It's calculated as annual expenses divided by the withdrawal rate.

At a 4% withdrawal rate and 30,000 kr/month expenses, your FIRE number would be 9 million kr.

What does the financial health score measure?

The health score evaluates five key metrics: savings rate (target: ≥20%), emergency fund (target: 6+ months), pension adequacy (target: ≥80% of expenses), housing cost ratio (target: ≤25%), and FIRE progress (target: ≥60%).

Each gets a green, amber, or red rating based on where you stand relative to these benchmarks.

Is my data secure?

All data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server. You can export your data as JSON for backup, import it on another device, or clear it entirely at any time.
