Philosophy

I built the tool I wish I'd had.

I grew up in the UK without much money, and I taught myself personal finance the slow way, one mistake and one half-understood article at a time.

Then I moved to Sweden and started over from scratch: a new system, new rules, a whole new vocabulary. The hard part was never the math. It was how long everything took to find, and hardest of all, even discovering the niche pieces I never knew existed, like how the income base amount (inkomstbasbelopp, IBB) actually works.

The hard part was never the math. It was finding the pieces, and knowing which ones even existed.

So I'm building it

One connected place, for Sweden, that makes personal finance genuinely understandable. Not a wall of jargon, not a sales funnel. It's still early: the site launched in June 2026, has more than thirty tools live and plenty more planned. I'm in no rush: getting the details right matters more to me than getting there fast.

What I won't compromise on

  • 01Your financial inputs never leave your device. No accounts, no cookies or cookie tracking, no ad tracking; your numbers are never sent anywhere or sold, and the calculators run locally in your browser, on your phone, or in the app. Visitor counts come from privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that only sees anonymous page views, never your inputs. The one time a tool reaches out is the mortgage calculator looking up anonymous public interest-rate statistics from SCB, and nothing about you is sent. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
  • 02Free, and staying free. No ads, no sponsored content, no premium tier.
  • 03For beginners and the fluent alike. Simple enough to start from zero, with the depth still there for when you already know a fair bit.
  • 04Built to teach, not just calculate. Every tool explains the why, in plain language.
  • 05One connected suite. Enter your details once and they follow you between the tools, so your budget can feed the flowchart.
  • 06Honest math you can check. Official Swedish figures, with the working shown, updated every year.
  • 07Bilingual and jargon-free. Swedish and English, in the words people actually use.

Who it's for

Anyone who wants to understand their money a little better. Especially the person who doesn't know where to start, or finds finance intimidating enough to put off entirely. You don't need to be good with money already. The whole point is to show you it's simpler than you feared.
